3 Things You Should Know About Your Intuition

Your intuition is more than just a "gut feeling"—it's a powerful guide if you allow it to be. We like to explain intuition as an antenna that picks up on information both within you and around you to help keep you safe and support you in navigating your life. Here are three key things you should know about intuition to better understand it and work with it rather than against it.

1. Intuition Can Be Enhanced with Practice

Intuition isn't something you're either born with or without. We all innately have intuition and the ability to communicate and relate to energy (also known as information) around us. Although we all innately have intuition, if you’ve been questioning whether you have it or not, maybe you just don’t have a strong connection to yours yet. Nothing is wrong with you if you feel this way, and there is no need to worry because intuition can be developed and strengthened with practice.

One way you can strengthen your intuition is by writing down intuitive moments when you have them. When you notice yourself having a “gut feeling” about something, write it down. Writing it down helps your intellectual mind keep a log of these intuitive events and start to make sense of them. This exercise also helps with circumstances where the “why” or “aha” moments don’t come until later because you have a clear reference point to come back to.

For example, have you ever met someone who everyone else seemed to love at first, but you got a bad feeling about them? Then after a few months this person revealed their true colors and you realized that you were right about them all along? That right there is the type of intuitive moment we are talking about. Keeping a log of moments like this will help you understand what your intuition is and how it presents itself to you.

2. Your Intuition Is Linked to Your Aura

Did you know that your heart's electromagnetic field—commonly referred to as your aura—plays a part in your intuition? While intuition is often associated with the mind, research shows that the heart's energy field is deeply intertwined with intuitive clarity.

The human heart generates an electromagnetic field that is 5,000 times stronger than that of the brain. This electromagnetic field radiates outward from the heart, extending several feet beyond the body, and interacts with the energy fields of people and environments around us.

When your heart and brain are in sync, you’re in a state called “heart-brain coherence.” When in this state, your ability to "tune in" to both your inner world and the energy fields around you is enhanced. This amplified connection can lead to stronger intuitive moments.

By nurturing heart-brain coherence, you're not only creating a healthier emotional and mental state for yourself; you're also tapping into a deeper, more intuitive understanding of yourself and the world around you.

3. Your Intuition Connects to Subtle Energy Fields

Let’s expand on this idea that your intuition is like an antenna. Among other things, it also picks up on subtle energy fields around you, sometimes referred to as the "collective consciousness" or "quantum field." These energy fields carry a wealth of information that is beyond the realm of our conscious awareness. They exist within and beyond the physical body, often described as the energetic blueprint of existence. These fields carry information about thoughts, emotions, intentions, and experiences, both individual and collective.

These concepts might sound abstract, but you engage with these energy fields everyday, whether you realize it or not. Have you ever walked into a room and felt an immediate "vibe" or sensed someone’s emotions without them saying anything? That’s your intuition picking up on these subtle energy fields.
